I’ve seen Jason Isbell a couple of times now. Once, years ago, I was only mildly excited. I had some friends that absolutely loved him but it didn’t click for me. Then another friend gave me an impassioned speech about one of his songs on a snowy spring drive we were on. He was coming through Bend, and my wife got us tickets! Sadly, we couldn’t find a babysitter, and she sent me off to it alone. It clicked this time! I listened to him the whole week leading up to the show, and the show itself was amazing. I YouTube’d around looking for live shows, and this one is basically the exact show I saw, only inside:
