Kate Middleton’s life did a whole 180 when she met Prince William at University, so it’s no wonder she wants a bit of privacy like the old days from time to time. There’s one simple way she does this, however, now the cat’s out the bag, we’re not sure how much longer it’ll work.
Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s love story began when they met at the University of St. Andrews in 2001, where she attended as a normal student and left as a future member of the royal family. The couple tied the knot 10 years after the initial meeting, and cut forward over two decades, they’ve been blessed with three adorable children.
Kate Middleton’s trick to ‘avoid the public’
Tell-all books have been circulating the royals this year, starting when Prince Harry released his own memoir Spare, in January this year.
In 2022, former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown released her book, The Palace Papers, in which she exposed the Princess of Wales’ secret.
She claims the 41-year-old would set her alarm for the early hours of the morning to have some “me time” in public without being spotted by anyone.
As well as no members of the public spotting her, it’s also a chance for her to get out without photographers and reporters around, something she’s had to deal with since her relationship with Prince William became public.
It’s also a chance for her to “nourish her life,” the author explained.
Kate’s plan has served her pretty well, but no plan is foolproof, and she has been caught out a couple of times. One notable occasion was whilst she was out visiting a David Hockney exhibition on a “secret visit” when her cover was blown.
The Princess throws it back to a time before she was in the public eye
This week, the royal took a trip down memory lane, to 1983, as she surprised fans with an adorable baby picture on Instagram.
The photo showed an adorable one-year-old Catherine sitting at the Christmas dinner table, and fans couldn’t get over the uncanny resemblance to her youngest, Prince Louis.
“I see Prince Louis!!!!” exclaimed one fan.
“I think we can all agree Louis is the spitting image of his mother…..the Middleton gene is visible,” another wrote.
The family has been getting into the festive spirit over on the social media platform, as they recently shared their adorable family Christmas card photo.
