Several darts fans were praised for their Liverpool-themed fancy dress after being spotted at Alexandra Palace.
During Brendan Dolan's last 16 clash against two-time Paddy Power PDC World Darts champion Gary Anderson on Saturday (December 30), eagled-eyed fans spotted three suited-and-booted attendees at Ally Pally.
Dressed in identical cream-coloured suits, it was obvious the blokes were attempting to recreate the iconic look of Liverpool's 1996 FA Cup final squad. It was then that Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman, and Jamie Redknapp sported Armani suits prior to their clash against Manchester United.

Back in 2008, Fowler admitted that the suits only became infamous because of their defeat. "People still remind me about the white suits all the time," he told The Mirror. "It's one of those things - if we had won the game nobody would have mentioned it but we lost and it has become infamous."

Another user had a poignant love letter drafted to the sport of darts and it's unique atmosphere as they said: "Darts. Where else do you get a sport where a fella is going toe-to-toe against an opponent old enough to be his Grandad, in front of a crowd including a group of lads decked out in fancy dress of the white suits the Liverpool squad wore to the 1996 FA Cup Final? It's unmatched."

While Dolan triumphed in a major upset against The Flying Scotsman, his run in the competition came to an end on Monday (January 1) when he lost 4-1 to teenage sensation Luke Littler. He'll now face Rob Cross in the semi-finals of the tournament.
