COCKNEY comic Micky Flanagan meets me in his local boozer and orders a black coffee – with one grim warning. “I always take a kettle with me on tour,” he says, smoothing back his famous curly locks. “You know, there are very famous bands that poo in them?” I raise my eyebrows in disgust as he swirls his mug. “No, seriously,” Micky continues, “I played a club once and I said to the geezer, ‘Is there a kettle so we can make a cup of tea?

Cody Johnson is nominated for four awards at the 2022 CMA Awards, but that's not why he's excited. His performance of "'Til You Can't" is what he's looking forward to most, for several reasons. For one thing, performing is what Johnson does best. "It's what I live for," he tells Taste of Country's Adison Haager ahead of the Wednesday night (Nov. 9) ABC broadcast. There are some pockets of the country that still think of him as a newcomer (more on that in a moment), but others where he's a stadium headliner.

The arrival of spring evokes thoughts of so many good things—energizing sunshine, bright colors, warmer weather, and blooming flowers, to name a few. There’s nothing like sitting outside on a breezy spring day, sipping a refreshing cocktail and enjoying all of those happy things. To celebrate the season, we asked Katy Galluccio, bar manager at The Parched Pig in Palm Beach Gardens, to create spring cocktails using edible flora. Early on in his career, Harry Belafonte established himself as a triple threat, acting, singing and songwriting. The legendary performer had a major breakthrough in the ‘50s, winning a Tony Award for his performance in John Murray Anderson’s Almanac. Throughout his career spanning more than 70 years, Harry became a father of four children, Adrienne, Shari, David and Gina, and was dedicated to his family up until his death at age 96 from congestive heart failure, his longtime spokesperson, Ken Sunshine, confirmed to the New York Times on April 25, 2023.
